Welcome!
Wish you could get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life?
Wish you could turn back time to a more relaxed pace of life?
Visit Whipstock Guest Farm and your wish will come true!

In the rainshadow of the Sonderend Mountains, and on the banks of
the Koningsriver we have kept a small part of rural South
Africa remarkably untouched by progress.
The farms name dates back to a time when the
McGregor area was known for the production of whips used by transport
riders all over the country. The old Cape wagon route passed close by
and an active trade in whip stock’s continued well into the 20th
century.
The typically Cape period
homestead dates back to the mid 19th Century, and within the thick
white washed walls, sash windows and thatched roof. inside, a
roaring log fire with equally warm smiles will greet you and and welcome you to unpack your worries and rest your soul.
Watching the sun set over the Galgeberg and then gazing at the winter stars that burn so bright you can almost reach up and grab them, you realise what peace and quiet there must have been in days gone by.
Every season has its own comfort to offer. Enjoy mountain breezes to cool things down in hot summers as the day gives way to idyllic evenings and winter snow blankets the mountain peaks for a spectacular view which can be enjoyed in the comfort of a cozy cottage, heated up by a log fire.
We welcome you to Whipstock Farm where guests become family and you will find rest and tranquility.
